Medical Historian with interest in the history of chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular diseases.  My PhD dissertation was on the reasons for the decline in coronary artery disease mortality that began in the late nineteen sixties and has continued to this date.  Other interests include the history of science and technology and how that history informs the advances made in medicine. Teach American History and History of Public Health and Medicine at Georgia State University.
